Rule Changes
- Eliminate the requirement that a player has to be on
the active 25-man roster for 122 games.
- On a
groundball C with runners on 3rd, 2nd and 3rd, or 1st and 3rd, playing loose
and infield in, change the result from ADVANCE to DECIDE (using DECIDE
formula from fielding chart).
Other league business
- Don Leigers was re-elected commissioner
- RSBL will be expanding by two teams in 2012. Both
expansion teams will play in the NL. Shane and Fred Stootes will be running one of the expansion teams,
while John Dent and Justin Harmon will take on the other expansion team
- Jeff Easton will move to the AL in 2012 to create an equal number of teams between AL & NL leagues
- 15 man rosters are due Sunday,
November 6th. The two expansion teams will draft their 15 man
thereafter. To ensure a smooth transition, no trading will be allowed until
December 1st
